President Benigno S. Aquino III joins Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Eduardo Oban, Jr., and family in a photo souvenir after administering the oath of office at the Rizal Ceremonial Hall, Malacañang Monday April 04, 2011. In March 07, 2011, then Lt. Gen. Oban became the 42nd Chief of Staff belongs to the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) class of 1979. He vowed to promote greater transparency in the military and sustain the reform initiatives of his predecessors. Some of his agenda includes strengthening the AFP procurement process by ensuring the accountability of all military resource managers, to fully computerize the procurement system and push for amendments in the Government Procurement Reform Act that will allow for new systems where transactions leave indelible credit trails and holds his self accountable for the proper and effective use of the funds.
