Officials of the Department of Agrarian Reform in Region 11 witness how excessive iron, turbidity, color and odor are removed from the iron-laden water through an iron removal filter, one of the three features of the environment-friendly and low-cost Community Managed Potable Water Supply and Sanitation (CPWASH) technology. The CPWASH project of DAR worth P150,000 is being managed and operated by the Callawa Bonggan Employees' Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperative (CABEARBCO) in Callawa Agrarian Reform Community in Buhangin, Davao City. The city government has also shared a counterpart of P50,000. (DAR-11/Fraulein G. Montaņez) |
