 INDIGENOUS TREE-PLANTING AT SLEX. DENR Undersecretary for Field Operations Atty. Ernesto Adobo, Jr. marvels at a Balitbitan sapling he planted at the South Luzon Tollways Corporation compound along the South Luzon expressway in Barangay Mapagong, Calamba City during a massive tree planting over the weekend as part of Pnoy’s National Greening Program. Some 6,000 seedlings of various indigenous tree species including Narra, Pili, Golden Shower were planted along the stretch of SLEX from KM 53 to KM 56+888 by some 700 volunteers from the various districts of Rotary International, Yazaki-Torres Mfg. inc., local government units’ employees and officials of Calamba City, Sta. Rosa, Laguna and Sto. Tomas, Batangas and DENR Region 4A CALABARZON.
