The Aquino administration through the Department of Agriculture is implementing a national food staple sufficiency program to promote the increased production and consumption of traditional major staples like white corn grits (bigas-mais), saba, sweet potato (camote), cassava (kamoteng kahoy), taro (gabi), and adlai (Job’s tears).
