Fitting a “national heroine,” the remains of Tandang Sora, whose real name is Melchora Aquino, was rested at the Tandang Sora Shrine in Banlat, Quezon City on Friday, Jan 6, 2012 from earlier resting places, Mausoleum of the Veteranos de la Revolucion at the Manila North Cemetary and Himlayang Pilipino Park in Quezon City.
