Strike Gas Stove. A close look at the rice husk 'labhang' stove that could save households thousands of money used in buying LPG, wood, kerosene and other sources of fuel. This stove is cheaper and is environment-friendly developed by the Engineering Department of the Central Philippine University and shared with an NGO in the municipality of Ilog, Negros Occ. By the quality of flame produced from this lowly stove, one can see the potential it holds in preserving the environment and and making use of otherwise, unproductive rice husk or 'labhang' that form mountains outside rice mills. An NGO- Ilog Kinder Home Foundation in the municipality of Ilog, Negros Occ., is pushing for the use of this technology. (PIA6-LOL) |
