BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur, January 17 -- Ninety-four SCAAs (Special Citizens Active Auxiliary) of the 4th ZDS (Zamboanga del Sur) SCAA Company were formally activated in a ceremony held last Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Barangay Poblacion, this municipality.These SCAAs underwent Basic Military Training for 45 days at Brgy Romarate, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur under Maj Edgardo Amores, Exec Ofcr, 5 IB, 1ID PA. After the training, they will be under the operational control of the 102 Brigade, PA based in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay under Col Barrientos. After the activation ceremony, the SCAAs were immediately deployed to Sitio Balabag, Barangay Depore, of this municipality to secure and protect the vital installations of TVI - Balabag and its surroundings.
