Sex Education: Noted clinical psychologist Dr. Margie Holmes speaks to local chief executives, government agencies, non-governmental agencies, the academe and the youth during a symposium on held as one of the activities during the Cagayan de Oro Youth Summit. Citing several studies, Holmes debunked the notion that sex education led to premarital sex and promiscuity among adolescents, as long as it is age- and integrity-appropiate. Stakeholders led by Cagayan de Oro 2nd District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez later signed A memorandum of agreement (MOU) to create a comprehensive Adolescent Health and Youth Developement Program (AHYDP) that would synergize the different agencies' programs and thrusts towards promoting sex education.
