Garcia: Let’s forgive, unite, and start anew

By Rose Palacio

Davao City (4 January) -- Second district representative Vincent Garcia is calling on all Davaoeños to forgive each other and start afresh in unity toward progress.

In his message for the New Year, Garcia said, “Unity in heart and mind will free us from poverty into progress and development.”

“The state of the economy, especially in Southern Mindanao, is not really as serious as others say it is. We can make our economy grow if we unite all our efforts, learn from the past, and support each other toward the future,” he said.

Last Christmas, Congressman Garcia met with his barangay leaders to assess village pharmacies (“Botika sa Barangay”) he established in his district.

The village pharmacies, launched last month by Garcia, are now serving all barangay residents in District 2 with cheap medicines. (RPalacio) [top]
