"Bida Ka" is September theme for PIA Panindugan
Tacloban City (September 8) -- In line with the month-long Philippine Civil Service anniversary celebration, the Philippine Information Agency through its CATV program PANINDUGAN has adopted the theme "Bida Ka."
"Bida Ka" is an activity suggested by the Civil Service Commission, that aims to highlight the role or contribution of a specific civil servant, sector or select group of employees. PIA's "Bida Ka" episodes at the PANINDUGAN CATV program seeks to give the people of Eastern Visayas, a source of inspiration by featuring government employees who have excelled in their respective sector regardless of the occupation.
PIA will entertain recommendations from the different government agencies and local government units on the employees who they believe can be considered as "Bida" for achieving the level of excellence or by his or her exemplary deeds worth emulating by the other public service providers.
For the first "Bida Ka" episode, PANINDUGAN featured PNP 8 Col. Cleve Taboso, who is the youngest PNP division chief in the whole country and Mr. Eliseo Padagdag who is the first runner up in TESDA's nationwide search for Model Employees.
The episode also featured Daniel Moreno who is a graduate of TESDA 8 vocational technical training and who is now the proprietor of DS Moreno Car Service Center.
The opening and closing songs were rendered by a recipient of the PGMA Training for Work Scholarship Program, Mr. Radel Llauderes of Pinabacdao, Samar who is now training on the second level of welding in order to be hired at a ship-making company in Subic.
PANINDUGAN which is hosted by PIA 8 Director Olive Tiu is viewed at the local cable tv channels with regionwide viewership, the Waray News Channel (Channel 8) and An Aton Channel (Channel 3).
