CVO earns P179T from slaughtered animals
Cagayan de Oro City (3 April) -- THE Cagayan de Oro City Veterinary Office (CVO) earned a total of P179,452 from post and ante-mortem fees of animals slaughtered at the city slaughterhouse for the month of February, this year.
Dr. Perla Asis, city veterinarian disclosed that during the period, 6,750 animals were slaughtered, including 861 cattles; 34 carabaos; 5,765 hogs; 138 goats; 47 horses and 43 ostriches.
Of the total income earned from slaughtered animals, the CVO collected P27,697 in ante mortem fees and P151,755 from post mortem fees.
Dr. Asis said that of the total number of animals slaughtered, the CVO condemned three heads and 2, 390.77 kilograms of animal organs.
