Tagalog News: Elecricity rate aasahang bababa ng mahigit 36.26 centavos per kilowatt-hour

Manila (4 April) -- Inihayag ni Department of Energy Secretary Rafael Lotilla na aasahan ng consumers ang pagbaba ng electricity rate pagkatapos ng holy week at sa mga susunod na buwan sa mahigit 36.26 centavos per kilowatt-hour.

Itoíy batay sa inihain na petition ng National Power Corporation (Napocor) sa Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) na i-adjust ang kanilang 8th Generation Rate Adjustment Mechanism o (GRAM) at 7th Incremental Currency Exchange Rate Adjustment (ICERA).

Ang GRAM ay simbolo ng recoveries para sa actual na pagtaas ng halaga ng fuel at kuryente na kinukuha mula sa Napocorís independent Power Producers (IPP), kung saan ito ay dominated ng local at foreign currency.

Ang ICERA naman ay siyang namamahala sa epekto ng pagtaas at pagbaba ng international currency exchange rates ng Napocorís cost of debt services at sa operasyon ng expenses tulad ng spare parts, insurance costs at iba pang generation-related costs.

Bunga ng patuloy na pagtaas foreign exchange rate at ng minimal na paggamit ng oil-fired power plants ang naging dahilan ng paghain ng dobleng petition, ang pagbawas sa GRAM at ICERA. (CGI/PIA 12) [top]
