Oro registrar serves 5,715 clients in March

Cagayan de Oro City (10 April) -- THE Local Civil Registrar (LCR) office in Cagayan de Oro City has served a total of 5,715 clients in March, this year.

City Civil Registrar Norma S. Diputado disclosed this in her monthly accomplishment report to City Mayor Vicente Y. Emano as she issued a total of 310 marriage contracts.

Another 63 applicants filed for correction of clerical error and another five applicants filed for change of first name under R.A. 9048.

The LCR also registered a total of 4,780 live births and 307 deaths during the period.

Meanwhile, Diputado urged all parents anew who have failed to register the birth of their children to register them and avoid future inconveniences especially that a birth certificate is one of the important requirements for children who will be entering elementary school.
