Team Unity moving up in surveys, says campaign manager

BINMALEY, Pangasinan (11 April) -- The national campaign manager of Team Unity declared here that he is unperturbed over the result of an early survey showing that some members of the administration senatorial ticket at this time are trailing members of the opposition slate.

Saying the early survey is nothing, German said: "We are not sprinters. The thing that matters most is on who will finish at the end of the race and not those who set the pace at the early stage," said Rell German, TU campaign manager.

German graced the proclamation rally of local TU candidates led by reelectionist Mayor Simplicio Rosario, his old friend in Makati and buddy in the August Twenty One Movement (ATOM).

German tagged along to the proclamation rally Sultan of Sulu Abduralul Kiram, whose wife, the former Celia Cervo, is a true-blue Pangsinense, from Mapandan and Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan and is fluent in the dialect.

He told newsmen that based on his observation, Team Unity has a good pacing now, adding that he has no doubt that its members can overtake most members of the opposition soon and up to the finish line.

Speaking in Pilipino, German said that surveys to date showed that members of the TU are now moving up the ladder as he expressed confidence that the people will remember the very good platform laid down by the government as compared to none by the opposition. (PIA-Pangasinan) [top]
