CDO PPP serves thousands of residents in Dansolihon
Cagayan de Oro City (11 April) -- Thousands of residents in one of the city’s hinterland barangays-- Dansolihon have benefited from the various basic services offered by the city government during the People to People Program (PPP) held today, April 11.
During the PPP, 1,100 residents availed of free medical consultation; 131 residents availed of dental check-up; 160 children availed of free circumcision; and 399 children and adults availed nutritional feeding.
Eighteen residents paid their community tax certificate, six paid their land tax and seven paid their business tax while 250 families received grocery packs. COCPO also gave 70 packs of biscuits and 70 pieces of noodles while 20 residents availed of its “Operation Pagwapo” or free haircut.
The city agricultural productivity office (APO) also handed a total of 300 packs of assorted vegetables seedlings and 300 fruit seedlings to farmers while the City Veterinary Office (CVO) provided vitamins and minerals supplements to 440 animals; dewormed 123 animals and treated another 72 animals for external parasite.
The city’s Road and Traffic Administration (RTA) has conducted information and education campaign by giving 35 handouts on the basic traffic rules and regulations of the city while 38 children availed of the City Public Library’s free book and magazine reading.
In today’s People to People Program, Mayor Emano solemnized the mass wedding of 29 unwed couples who were living together for at least five years.
The People to People Program is a regular program of the city government which provides equal opportunity to people in the hinterland barangays to avail of the various services regularly offered by the city government.
Among the city officials who joined Mayor Emano in the holding of the PPP in Dansolihon included Congressman Constantino Jaraula, Vice-Mayor Michelle Tagarda-Spiers, and city councilors Maryanne Enteria, Ceasar Ian Acenas, Simeon Licayan and Jerico Ebabacol. (City Information Office) [top]
