More Boholanos satisfied with PGMA’s performance – Bohol poll 2007

Tagbilaran City (13 April) -- More Boholanos are now satisfied with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s performance compared to last year.

This was one of the highlights in yesterday’s public presentation of the 14th round of the Bohol Poll, an annual survey conducted by the Holy Name University Center for Research and Local Governance.

Pres. Arroyo’s net performance rating of +27 showed an increase of 15 points from last year’s +12. Although 56% of the total respondents expressed satisfaction, the net rating was pulled down by the -12 net performance rating from the 18-24 age bracket.

Vice-President Noli de Castro’s net performance rating of +50 was 5 points higher than last year’s.

Meanwhile, Governor Erico Aumentado continues to enjoy the support of the Boholanos with a high net performance rating of +77, 6 points higher than last year’s round. Aumentado’s administration got highest net performance rating in the promotion of tourism (46%) and protection of the environment (+46) followed by protecting life and property (+37), then the promotion of investments (+20) that showed a 12-point increase.

However, decline in net performance ratings can be noted in the provision of livelihood opportunities and employment, reduction of graft and corruption, assurance of adequate food supply and provision of support for the promotion of agriculture.

For this year’s round, data gathering from a total of 400 respondents provincewide was done from March 17 to March 26. (PIA-Bohol) [top]
