During the period, the CVO vaccinated 1,254 dogs against rabies and DHL/CPV; 176 pigs against hog cholera and 263 animals against hemorrhagic septicemia, said city veterinarian Dr. Perla Asis in her monthly report to City Mayor Vicente Y. Emano.

It also treated 594 animals against diseases; dispersed eight piglets; gave artificial insemination to 12 animals; castrated 201 animals; injected 458 piglets against anemia; gave vitamins and minerals to 604 animals; dewormed 383 animals; and treated 133 animals against external parasites.

The CVO also conducted information and education campaign on rabies infection to 2,435 farmers in five barangays, aside from conducting 47 ‘Operation Pamatong’ that resulted to the impoundment of 121 dogs, 104 of which were disposed of. (City Information Office) [top]
