PPP serves thousands of residents in Balulang
Cagayan de Oro City (18 April) -- OVER a thousand residents in Barangay Balulang benefited from the various basic services offered by the city government of Cagayan de Oro during the People to People Program (PPP) held there April 17.
During the PPP, 1,500 residents availed of free medical consultation; 245 residents availed of dental check-up; 304 children availed of free circumcision; and 410 children and adults availed of nutritional feeding.
Four hundred families received grocery packs. COCPO also gave 36 pieces of lollipop, 60 packs of biscuits, 72 pieces of noodles and 36 pieces of lollipops and 19 availed of COCPO’s “Operation Pagwapo” or free haircut.
The city agricultural productivity office (APO) also handed a total of 300 packs of assorted vegetable seedlings and 250 fruit seedlings to farmers while the City Veterinary Office (CVO) provided electrolytes to 111 animals, gave soluvite to 556 animals, gave Asuntol to 43 animals and vaccinated and registered 197 animals.
The city’s Road and Traffic Administration (RTA) conducted traffic education orientation on the basic traffic rules and regulations of the city attended by 40 residents while 80 children availed of the City Public Library’s free books and magazines reading.
In today’s People to People Program, Mayor Emano also solemnized the mass wedding of 25 unwed couples who were living together for at least five years and registered 66 children.
The People to People Program is a regular program of the city government which provides equal opportunity to people in the hinterland barangays to avail of the various services regularly offered by the city government.
Among the city officials who joined Mayor Emano in the holding of the PPP in Balulang were Congressman Constantino Jaraula, Vice-Mayor Michelle Tagarda-Spiers, city councilors Maryanne Enteria, Ceasar Ian Acenas and Simeon Licayan. (Cagayan de Oro City Information Office/PIA-MisOrOccCam i-Net) [top]
