PIA chief endorses biofuel

Manila (24 April) -- Secretary Conrado A. Limcaoco Jr., Director General of Philippine Information Agency, has urged the public to use bio-diesel and other fuel alternatives after having tried the fuel in his cars.

According to Limcaoco his car came to have longer mileage, lesser smoke emission and a better motor vehicle performance. The PIA Chief recently addressed the agency's employees in a meeting in Manila.

He explained that the use of alternative fuel is one of the programs that President Gloria M. Arroyo is promoting in her "8 by '08" priority program campaign.

Among the priority programs included in the "8 by '08" campaign are: job creation, education, peso appreciation, peace and order, education, health and anti-hunger measures, housing, anti terrorism measures and Green Philippines initiatives.

Despite the economic odds the government is facing, he said President Arroyo stays focused on delivering her promises to the people aided by economic programs that promises growth for the country. (PIA-LOL) [top]
