Surgical mission visits Isabela in Negros Occidental
Negros Occidental (25 April) -- A surgical mission was conducted by the United Doctors Medical Center at the newly opened Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Isabela town, this province recently.
Dr. Melvin Ybanez, town vice mayor and project coordinator said that nineteen major cases were attended mostly on hernia, ovarian tumor, myoma, breast mass, gallstone, Caesarian section delivery and lipomas.
Ibanez said United Doctos Medical Center owner Dr. Tomotada Enatsu promised to expand the project into a monthly or quarterly free surgery program for the people of the Fifth District of Negros Occidental.
A total of 65 patients were screened for the mission and the surgical team composed of six surgeons and six nurses from Manila will return in two weeks to operate on the rest of the patients.
