Komentaryo: $329.5-M investments dala ni PGMA mula China

Davao City (26 April) -- Inihayag ni Transportation and Communications Secretary Leandro Mendoza na malaki ang investments na dala ni Pangulong Macapagal-Arroyo nang siya'y bumalik dito sa Pilipinas matapos ang dinaluhan niyang Boao Forum sa China.

Para sa transportation and communication, umabot sa $329-milyon contract supply ang dala ng Pangulong Arroyo para sa national broadband at network sa layuning mapahusay ang facilities ng pamahalaan.

Maliban dito, lima pang contract agreements and matagumpay na naisagawa ng Pangulo kabilang ang cyber-education project na nagkahalaga ng $465.5-million; $4.64-million contract para sa export ng mango pulp sa China; $30-million tapioca exports sa China; at $56.18-million Angat dam utilization sa ilalim ng kontrata sa pagitan ng Metropolitan Waterworks & Sewerage System at ng China International Water & Electric Corp.


Muling nanawagan ang Comelec

Muli na namang nanawagan ang Commission on Elections sa lahat ng mga kandidato na sumunod sa ipinatutupad na regulation mula sa Comelec sa pagdidikit o paglalagay ng kanilang mga propaganda sa designated areas ng Comelec.

Sinabi ni Comelec Chair Benjamin Abalos na maraming mga posters at propaganda materials ang sinasabit o dinidikit ng kung saan-saan lamang at hindi nasusunod ang designated poster areas.

Ayon naman sa mga kandidato, mga supporters nila ang nagdidikit ng kanilang mga posters at propaganda materials. Gayunpaman, hindi dapat idahilan ng mga kandidato ang ginagawang kamalian ng kanilang mga supporters. Responsibilidad ng mga kandidato at ng mga kinauukulan na payuhan ang kanilang mga supporters na gawin ang tama kundi'y mismong kandidato ang masisira. (PIA) [top]
