Tagalog News: P1.76-B rehabilitation fund inaprubahan na ng Palasyo

Manila (26 April) -- Inaprubahan na ng Malakanyang ang pagpapalabas ng P1.76 B na pondo para sa pagsasaayos ng mga imprastrakturang winasak ng bagyong Milenyo, Paeng, Reming, at Seniang noong nakaraang taon.

Ayon kay Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita "chargeable" umano ang lahat na pondo ng Calamity Assistance and rehabilitation Effort (CARE) sa ilalim ng General Appropriations Act ng taong 2007.

Ani Ermita P500 M ang mapupunta sa National Electrification Administration para sa pagsasaayos ng mga distribution lines ng mga electric cooperatives sa Region 3, Region 4, Region 5, Region 6 at Region 8. P500 M din ang mapupunta sa National Irrigation Administration sa lahat ng mga apektadong irrigation systems sa buong bansa kabilang na ang Region 12.

Makakatanggap din ng repair funds ang ibang paaralan na bahagyang nasira ng mga supertyphoons kabilang ang Bicol University, University of the Philippines-Los Baņos, Catanduanes State College, Camarines Sur State College, Sorsogon State College, Laguna State polytechnic College, at ang Partido State University sa Camarines Sur.

Mapupunta naman ang mga natirang funds sa pagsasayos sa iba pang gusaling nasira katulad ng mga government hospitals, replacement ng mga medical equipment and facilities habang mabibiyayaan din ng rehabilitation fund ang ibang mga local government units na binisita ng mga nasabing bagyo.
