Roxas City gets 2 new ambulances

ROXAS CITY (5 June) -- The City Health Office (CHO) here has boosted its capability to deliver basic health services after acquiring another new ambulance. This time it came from Capiz First District Congressman Rodriguez Dadivas.

Dadivas personally turned over the ambulance recently to the city government of Roxas through the CHO headed by Dra. Amelita Robles after a holy mass celebration at the CHO.

Dadivas said he worked out for the ambulance as part of his overall program to provide for the health needs of his constituents in support to the health program of the city government and that of the national government.

President Arroyo has said she would see to it that Filipinos would avail of the benefits from a strong economy including access to health services.

City mayor Antonio Del Rosario has said that delivery of health services is one of the priorities in his overall development program.

Earlier, the city government also acquired a new ambulance using an appropriation from its 20% Development Fund, according to City Administrator Emmanuel Losanta.

The ambulance from Congressman Dadivas brought to two the new ambulances of the CHO.

Dra. Robles thanked Congressman Dadivas and remarked that the new ambulance facility will be of big help to the overall operations of her office.

The city has also procured a new office vehicle for the use of the City Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Cynthia D. Besana. (PIA Capiz) [top]
