Region 8 joins nationwide celebration of 107th anniniverary of RP civil service
Tacloban City (September 2) -- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office 8 will spearhead the commemoration of the 107th Anniversary of Philippine Civil Service, with the theme "Itaguyod ang Kasarinlan ng Career Service."
On September 3, all government agencies will simultaneously hold their flag-raising ceremonies at 8:30 in the morning in order to mark the opening of the month-long anniversary celebration.
In Region 8, a kick off activity will be conducted on September 4 at the Leyte Academic Center, starting with the offering of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 7:00 o'clock in the morning. This will be followed by a short program to be highlighted with a friendly Cheering Competition, participated in by various agencies.
The Civil Service Commission in the Region, starting September 5 will embark on a month-long information dissemination campaign dubbed as "Info Blitz" wherein twelve agencies will be visited by different teams whose members will discuss and give information on the current programs and thrusts of the Commission.
On September 11-12, a Human Resource Management Officers Capability Building Conference will be held at the Department of Public Work and Highways Region 8 Multi-Purpose Hall, which will be attended by HRMOs and Personnel Officers from agencies within the Region.
The Frontline Service Fair will be conducted on September 13-14 at the Kanhuraw Convention Center where the public will be treated to accessible frontline services in order to show to the public that the government is capable of providing express service.
The CSC Region 8 personnel will conduct its Clean-Up Day on September 21 at the Regional Office compound in Palo, Leyte.
This will be followed by the Family Day on September 22, at the Tadjaw Beach Resort in Tolosa, Leyte.
