Edge Outdoor Team leads Gensan Eco-Karera
General Santos City (4 September) -- "Edge Outdoor Shop" of Davao City emerged as the champion in Thursday's Gensan Eco-Karera and 5th Tropical's Langoy Bugsay Marathon Challenge.
Team Davao bested twenty five other competing teams coming from all over region 12.
Their members arrived at the Queen Tuna Park at about 11:30 in the morning after more than ten grueling hours of combined tasks along the route like cooking, climbing, dancing, swimming, rowing, fishing, kite flying, and rapelling.
The group is composed of Christopher Eyao, Paulo Dino Ouano, Leslie "lovelove" Herrero, and Glenn Batiller.
They received a motorized banca, cash prize and lots of giveaways from Gensan Mayor Pedro Acharon, Jr. and Tuna Festival Chair Bebot Haw during the awarding ceremony Tuesday night at the Queen Tuna Park.
Meanwhile, the guest team of Mt. Everest hero Erwin "Pastour" Emata finished 2nd over-all in what seemed to be a walk in the park for them. (Cpio/jpa/aom/PIA 12) [top]
