P10 COLA increase to take effect Septemmber 16 in Davao Region

Davao City (5 September) -- The P10 increase in the Cost of Living Allowance or COLA to all minimum wage earners in the Davao Region which was granted by the Regional Tripartite Wage and Productivity Board-XI (RTWPB-XI) will take effect on Sept. 16.
The new Wage order No. RB XI-14 applies to all covered workers and employees receiving the minimum wage in Davao Region regardless of position, designation or status of employment and irrespective of the method by which their wages are paid.
The wage order however does not cover household or domestic helpers, family drivers, persons employed in the personal service of another and workers in registered Barangay Micro Business Enterprise.
Starting September 16 the new prescribe wage rates are as follows:
For non-agriculture and retail/service employing more than 10 workers: P250 (P224+P26 COLA)
For Agricultural Plantation: P240 (P214+P26 COLA)
For Agriculture non-plantation and retail/service employing not more than 10: P219 (P193+P26 COLA)
For the provinces of Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental Compostela Valley:
For non-agriculture and retail/service employing more than 10 workers: P248 (P222+P26 COLA)
For Agricultural Plantation: P238 (P212+P26 COLA)
For Agriculture non-plantation and retail/service employing not more than 10: P217 (P191+P26 COLA).
Wage order No. RB XI-14 dose not provide exemptions for an exemption. Employers are mandated under the new Wage order to implement the new wage rates to all its covered workers.
