Cagayan de Oro City (5 September) -- THE Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. (Oro Chamber) is inviting local entrepreneurs to attend a Product Dvelopment Symposium on Monday, September 10, at the VIP Hotel.

Heidi Grace P. Mendoza, Oro Chamber secretary-general, disclosed that the whole-day symposium will feature as its main speaker, Prof. Mario Antonio Lopez of the Asian Institute of Management.

Mendoza said that the symposium is targeting an audience of local enterprises, which need that extra motivation and technical input to further improve their products and services, thus raise their bottom lines.

With the holding of the Symposium on Product Development, the Oro Chamber hopes to encourage participants to take an inspired and educated step towards entrepreneurship and business development.

The symposium will note the past and existing efforts along product development in Cagayan de Oro and Northern Mindanao and highlight success stories and winning products indigenous to the area.

The activity on Monday is inline with the thrusts of the Creation of Opportunities and Resources Management for Enterprises (CORE) Project of the Oro Chamber, which advocates for micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) development, capacitate these players in the local business area, and provide technical assistance along product development in partnership with other enabling agencies and organization.

A registration fee of P500 will be charged to cover food (1 lunch and 2 snacks), materials and certificate.
