Tourism council organized in Silay City
Bacolod City (6 September) -- The Silay Tourism Council in Negros Occidental was recently reorganized in line with the objective of the Department of Tourism (DOT) to promote collaboration among the sectors of government, the private enterprises and tourism institution.
Priority projects of the council are street signs, rehabilitation of ancestral houses, programs of visual artists, culinary art promotion, cleanliness of tourism-related establishments and creation of information counter in Silay for travelers.
Silay City Mayor Jose Montelibano said the council will assist him to formulate programs and projects that will make Silay City favorable to tourists, traders and investors. (PIA) [top]
