Tagalog News: Pangulong Arroyo kasama ang mga top businessmen patungong Australia

Manila (6 September) -- Ang pagbisita ng Pangulong Arroyo kasama ang mga top businessmen ng bansa sa Sydney Australia, ayon kay Foreign Affairs secretary Alberto Romulo ay isang pagkakataon umano para sa Pilipinas na ipa-alam sa mga pinuno ng bansa sa Asia-Pacific at sa buong mundo, ang mga natatanging long-term economic achievements at ang pagiging handa ng bansa na makipag-compete dahil sa natamong paglago ng ekonomiya ng bansa.

Sa APEC meeting sa Sydney, Australia, nakatakda ring makipag-pulong si Pangulong Arroyo kay US President Bush. Nauna na rin itong nagpahiwatig na makikipagpulong din ito kay Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi upang pag-usapan ang iba pang detalye hinggil sa resumption ng pag-uusap pangkapayapaan sa pagitan ng pamahalaan ng Pilipinas at ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

Ayon pa kay Romulo, ang pagpupulong ng mga APEC leaders ay magbibigay-daan umano sa masusing pagtalakay ng mga isyu tulad ng disaster preparedness, Avian Influenza, sustainable development at climate change, terrorism at human security. (PIA 12) [top]
