Camarines Sur gets priority for PGMA caravan project

by LS Macatangay

Naga City (7 September) -- The People's Government Mobile Action (PGMA) will conduct a full complement of caravans in two municipalities of the 1st district of Camarines Sur.

These caravans to be spearheaded by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) will be held in the towns of Libmanan and Minalabac on September 8 and 9 respectively in coordination with the Office of Congressman Diosdado "Dato" Macapagal Arroyo (Camarines Sur 1st district).

PAGCOR vice-president Adolph Edward G. Plaza, pointman for the PGMA project, said the PGMA caravan is also set to visit eight other municipalities in Camarines Sur within the year.

The province of Camarines Sur has been classified "Priority Two" provinces under the Accelerated Hunger Mitigation Plan (AHMP), a priority program of the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC), National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) and National Nutrition Council (NNC).

Plaza said PGMA member-agencies involved in health, livelihood, micro-financing and other high-impact social services will participate in the two-day caravan. (PIA Cams. Sur) [top]
