BFP conducts regular fire safety inspection

Tacloban City (7 September) -- In its concern to protect government employees from fire hazards in their respective offices, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) through the Office of the City Fire Marshal Rafael B. Doron is presently conducting Fire Safety Inspections in the different government institutions in Tacloban per Mission Order No. 07-09-79 dated September 3, 2007.

At least 2 personnel from BFP conduct the fire safety inspection around the premises of the different offices, after which, an After Mission Report is prepared by said inspection team. The report reveals whether there is an existence of defects or deficiencies relative to fire safety.

Based on the findings, the fire safety team gives recommendations to correct the aforementioned defects or deficiencies. To make sure that the concerned recipient will comply with the given recommendations, said recipients will be given a certain grace period otherwise appropriate action will be conducted by BFP to cause compliance.

Relative hereto, the Bureau of Fire Protection requests the cooperation, not only from government organizations, but to all concerned to avoid fire hazards in their areas of responsibility. (PIA-8) [top]
