Sec. Remonde bats for business-media partnership

General Santos City (7 September) -- Secretary Cerge M. Remonde, Director-General of the Presidential Managment Staff and Cabinet Oversight Officer for MSME, took time to meet with the local media and business sector representatives in an effort to come up with a better business-media partnership.

Remonde said good relations among the local media and business community will benefit both the business and media sector.

The good secretary from Cebu, also shared with those present in the gathering last Tuesday, August 29, the government's position in localized peace negotiations with local commanders of the CPP-NPA which was proven effective in the province of Bohol.

Remonde also discussed ambitious infrastructure projects for the Mindanao Super Region. Two of these projects are the concreting of Lebak-Kalamansig-Milbuk-Palimbang-Maitum road and the road linking Glan, Sarangani to Davao del Sur.

He also discussed government programs for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) designed to provide not only financing but also training and marketing assistance to small entrepreneurs.

Sec. Remonde was also the Keynote Speaker of the 9th Tuna Congress held here in Gensan from August 31 to September 1, 2007 at the new KCC Mall Convention Center. (CPIO/jpa/PIA SarGen) [top]
