Tagalog News: Kampanya ng gobyerno laban sa terorismo at corruption umuusad

Manila (10 September) -- Dahilan sa dibdibang kampanya ng gobyerno laban sa terorismo sa bansa, ang Pilipinas ay di na umano ligtas na lugar para sa mga terorista, ito ang sinabi ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Nauna nang binigyan ni Pangulong Arroyo ng tatlong taon ang kanyang adminisrasyon para tuluyang lipunin ang armadong pagkilos na kumakalaban sa administrasyon kasabay ng pagtatag ng isang amnesty program para sa mga rebelding komunista.

Ayon kay National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales, bukod sa terorismo, seryoso rin ang pamahalaan sa kampanaya nito laban sa corruption sa tulong ng isang anti-corruption czarna si Tony Kwok ng Hong Kong.

Ang kampanya ng gobyerno laban sa corruption ay nakatuon sa criminal justice, administrative control at procedural reforms, ayon kay Gonzales.

Sinabi rin ni Gonzales na aminado si Pangulong Arroyo na ang corruption ay matagal nang nagsilbing salot sa bansa at hindi basta tuluyang mahinto sa isang iglap, sa kabila nito, "making progress" ang kampanya ng gobyerno. (pbc/PIA 12) [top]
