Negros Occidental prov'l employee scholars sign contracts
Bacolod City (10 September) -- Negros Occidental provincial employees who are grantees of Gov. Joseph Maraņo's Provincial Education Assistance for Capitol Employees (PEACE) Scholarship Program signed a contract with Prov'l Administrator Enrique S. Pinongan in the presence of HRM officer Virginia Parreņo at the Provincial Capitol, Bacolod City, recently.
The second batch of scholars is taking up their Master's Degrees in leading universities of Bacolod City.
The provincial government will pay the tuition and other school fees of the scholars, and a study leave grant shall be availed of during the scholars' comprehensive examination or thesis writing.
To qualify for the scholarship, the provincial government employees must hold a permanent status of appointment and occupy first or second level supervisory or non-supervisory position; must have serves the provincial government continuously for at least three years; must obtain a performance rating of at least very satisfactory in the last two rating periods; and must have no pending administrative and criminal charges against them at the time of filing of the application.
