Bacolod City peace council gives awards
Bacolod City (12 September) -- The Bacolod Peace and Order Council awarded its various partners in the implementation of peace and order programs of the city government.
The recognition was part of the recent National Crime Prevention Week.
The awardees, who will represent Bacolod in the regional level competition, are Brgy. Taculing and tanod Francisco Gabrillo- outstanding barangay tanod for the group and individual categories, respectively; Brgy. Handumanan - outstanding barangay peace and order committee; and Bry. Villamonte- outstanding LT incentive award.
The Department of Interior and Local Government presented certificates of recognition and cash incentives to awardees.
Meanwhile, Supt. Samson Abaygar, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology chief in Bacolod City was cited as outstanding provincial jail warden in the national level, and best district jail warden in the regional level.
Sr. Insp. Ruth Estales was cited as best female jail warden; Archie Labansawan - traffic enforces for July; and Crime Stoppers and COMRADES were recognized as outstanding non-government partners. (PIA/cad) [top]
