Tagalog News: 810 pumasa sa PMA entrance exam

Manila (12 September) -- Umabot sa 810 na mga examinees ang pumasa sa PMA Entrance Exam ng Philippine Military Academy (PMA) na ginanap noong August 26 sa mahigit 29 na examination centers sa buong bansa.

Ayon kay PMA Superintendent Major General Leopoldo L. Maligalig, 4,999 na mga kwalipikadong aplikanteng lalaki at babae ang sumailalim sa nasabing entrance exam. Umabot umano sa 16% ang pumasa sa written exam na itinuturing na first stage para sa highly competitive screening process para sa cadetship kung saan mahigit 185 o 22.8% na pumasa ay mga babae.

Ang mga pumasa ay sasailalim sa medical at physical examinations, neuro-psychiatric examinations, physical fitness test at i-interbyuhin din sila ng mga PMA officers na magsisimula sa ikalawang linggo ng Oktubre ng taon.

Sila ay mapapabilang sa 300 slots para sa cadetship para sa PMA Class of 2012 kung saan ang mga ito ay sasailalim sa four-year-full-government scholarship para sa Bachelor of Science Degree and a commission upang maging second lieutenants para sa regular force ng Armed Forces of the Philippines pagkatapos ng graduation.
