Leyte chamber invites participants to free seminars during Leyte business month
Tacloban City (September 12) -- The Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry will sponsor a series of seminars in connection with the first Leyte Province Business Month celebration in the month of October.
This was announced by Mr. Samuel Tiu, the chairman of the Leyte Province Business Month celebration and Mr. Orlando Uy, the president of the Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Leyte business sector leaders are inviting the general public especially the local producers who are into food and agri-processing to participate in the seminar which are conducted for free.
The first seminar is the New Business Creation Course which will be conducted on October 9-10, 2007 at the SMED Center, Capitol Grounds, Senator Enage St., Tacloban City.
The other seminar is Product Packaging and Labeling which will be conducted on October 17 - 18, 2007 also at the SMED Center.
Mr. Uy and Mr. Tiu reiterated that the participation in the seminar is free of charge including free meals and snacks, seminar materials and other seminar paraphernalia.
The prospective participants must signify their intention to participate in the seminars not later than September 26, 2007 so that the necessary reservations for them could be made.
The Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry which is the organizer and sponsor of the seminars, is limiting the number of participants to at most 30 pax on a first come first serve basis.
In a tangible display of partnership between the government and the private sector to bring about change and development in society, the Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the province of Leyte take the lead in planning, organizing, coordinating and managing the month-long celebration of the month of October as Leyte Province Business Month.
Aside from the business seminars, various activities such as trade fairs, job fairs, among others, have been lined up during the whole month of October to raise the awareness of people on the potential business opportunities which abound in the province of Leyte. (PIA 8) [top]
