CSC 8 honors exemplary gov't service providers
Tacloban City (September 13) -- In connection with the celebration of the 107th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service, the Region's exemplary service providers were cited during the opening program of the Frontline Service Fair in the morning of September 13.
Director Rodolfo Encajonado and Commissioner Cesar D. Buenaflor handed the citations to the Gantimpala Agad Awardees for their courteous, prompt and efficient service, Mr. Ireneo A. Moreno of the City General Services Division of the City Government of Tacloban and Ms. Leah C. Salazar of DENR PENRO-Leyte.
The Land Transportation Office, Region 8, Tacloban City Licensing Center through LTO Director Raul Aguilos, was presented the PASADA Recognition.
PASADA or Public Service Delivery Audit is a program of the CSC to monitor the performance of government frontline services through undercover agents who act as clients of over-the-counter transactions in government. It provides a mechanism in which the performance of government frontline services can be systematically checked and evaluated.
After completion of audit, assessment report will be sent the head of the agency together with the letter or commendation. If the rating is excellent, the agency is given the CSC Seal of Frontline Service Excellence. If the rating is very good, the agency is given the PASADA Recognition. Satisfactory rating will mean that the agency will receive a letter of commendation. If the rating is needs Improvement and poor, the agency will receive a letter stating the result of audit and the recommendations for improvement.
Another awardee is Ms. Isabel S. Eman, Master Teacher I of San Policarpo National High School in Calbayog City who is a semi-finalist in the CSC Pag-Asa Award.
The Pagasa Award is conferred on an individual or group of individuals for outstanding contribution/s resulting from an idea or performance that directly benefit more than one department of the government. (PIA 8) [top]
