Nueva Vizcaya government allots P75M for programs and projects
BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (September 14) -- The provincial board here on Wednesday has approved the appropriation of some P75.5 million for the implementation of major development programs and projects for the province.
Board member Efren Quiben, chair of the SP's committee on budget and appropriations said the amount is part of the P85.5 million fund that the provincial government needs to fast track major infrastructure projects and equipments for health, agriculture and peace and order thrusts of the local government unit.
The fund, he said will be used for the concreting of provincial roads, improvement of the Dumlao Boulevard in this town which will be patterned after the baywalk in Metro Manila, the procurement of a dialysis machine which will be deployed to the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital(NVPH) to complement the on-going construction of the Philhealth building, the procurement of a brand new back hoe and loader and the purchse of the Calderon compound to expand the area of the provincial capitol.
The said major programs and projects will be undertaken by the provincial government within a three-year period. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
