3,000 houses to be built in Nueva Vizcaya
BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (September 14) -- Some 3,000 houses will be built in the province to provide shelter for indigent families who were left homeless due to disasters and calamities.
Board member Efren Quiben, lead coordinator of Gawad Kalinga's 333 project said the project which seeks to build 3,000 houses in 33 villages in the province for the next three years will be launched on September 27.
"We have just conducted our planning meeting with various organizations, government agencies, local government officials, students and other volunteer groups inorder to realize this plan," Quiben said.
He also expressed optimism that the target number of house will be achieved because it will be distributed equally to the 33 barangays of the province.
The GK sites, he said will be created in such a way that the families' livelihood will not be disrupted but instead, it will be enhanced more with added facilities and opportunities. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
