LAGAWE, Ifugao (15 September) -- Electric consumers under the area coverage of the Ifugao Electric Cooperative (IFELCO) will no longer experience low voltage soon as it is now finalizing with the Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Electrification Administration (NEA) requirements for the implementation a P30 Million sub-station in Alfonso Lista municipality.
Engr. Jaime Pe Benito, IFELCO Manager disclosed that this principal project of the DOE which amounts to P30 Million will start implementation as soon as results of the evaluation for the design of transmission lines will be handed over by NEA.
In preparation to the loading of the proposed sub-station, rehabilitation of the VEE Phase which stretches from Barangay Oscariz, Ramon, Isabela to Barangay Sta. Maria Alfonso Lista in Ifugao will soon be implemented.
"The rehabilitation of the VEE Phase from a two- distribution lines to a three distribution lines will improve the system voltage" Pe Benito added.
This will not only cover Barangay Sta. Maria of A. Lista municipality but will expand to its eastern barangays and extend to barangays of Aguinaldo.
Pe Benito is hopeful the scheduled meeting this September 2007 with concerned agencies will bear positive results so project starts implementation soon. (PIA Ifugao) [top]
