GSIS prexy warns employees to act on complaints to avoid admin cases
Negros Occidental (17 September) -- Members and pensioners of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) can expect quicker action on their complaints with the state pension fund.
This as the GSIS President Winston Garcia recently issued the warning to to its employees to act on complaints within 10 working days filed before them by members and pensioners or face an administrative case.
Garcia issued the warning admitting that as GSIS continue its technological advancement for the convenience of its members and pensioners, it failed to complement this with the services of its human infrastructure.
"The reforms I initiated in 2001 have weeded out bad eggs within the ranks of the GSIS. However, there may still be some who would like to see the present system fail in order to bring back the manual way of doing things at the GSIS," Garcia said.
Before the computerization program of Garcia, 1.5 million members are bloated giving syndicates within the ranks the opportunity to take advantage of but were later eliminated due to the computerized data base. (PIA/EAD) [top]
