Lanao Norte execs visit Bukidnon hospitals

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (19 September) -- Provincial officials of Lanao del Norte headed by Governor Khalid Q. Dimaporo, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) officials and technical experts from the Provincial Health Indigency Program (PHIP) recently visited hospitals in the province of Bukidnon to observe its hospital operations including its well-regarded implementation of the PhilHealth program.
Chiefs of hospitals who also joined the provincial team noted the new rise of hospitals in the province.
According to Bukidnon Governor Jose Ma. Zubiri during the group's courtesy call, his dream is to really have enough health facilities that could satisfy his constituents' health needs.
Officials of PhilHealth Regional Office X emphasized that Bukidnon has been investing millions of pesos for its health program from the processing of documents down to activation of its PhilHealth portal services online.
Governor Dimaporo meanwhile said that he conducted the Bukidnon tour along with provincial officials to seek inspiration for a good health program for Lanao del Norte in his first year of governance.
Among the hospitals visited by the provincial team were the Manolo Fortich Provincial Hospital, Malaybalay Provincial Hospital, Bukidnon Medical Center and Bukidnon Provincial Hospital situated in Maramag town.
These facilities have been accredited by PhilHealth and already appreciated its return in the form capitation being transformed into acquisition of new hospital buildings, incentives to health professionals and salary increases and bonuses to the provincial employees. (Lanao del Norte LGU) [top]
