Jaycees leads 2007 Isabela Alay Lakad

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela (September 19) -- The Philippine Jaycees (Cauayan Chapter) will lead the Alay Lakad 2007 which is set to be conducted this coming Friday (Sept. 21) in cooperation with the City government of Cauayan.

City Executive Assistant for Special Events Mr. Gary Galutera said that Cauayan City Alay Lakad Board has decided to conduct this activity on Friday to start at 4:00 in the morning in front of the City Hall here moving to the National Highway to Canciller Avenue and back to the assembly area where a short program follows.

"The Alay Lakad activity is a nationwide activity started in 2001 and held yearly purposely to generate funds for Out-of-School-Youths' scholarship, training and livelihood projects, said Mr. Galutera.This year's theme is "Lakad Bayan para sa Kaunlaran". The participating agencies are the Department of Education, National Government Agencies, The City Government of Cauayan and Non-Government Organizations. (PIA Isabela) [top]
