PPP serves hundreds of residents in Macabalan
Cagayan de Oro City (19 September) -- HUNDREDS of residents in Barangay Macabalan, this city, benefited from the various basic services offered by the city government as it resumed its regular People to People Program (PPP) last September 12 at the Macabalan Elementary School.
During the PPP, 900 residents availed of free medical consultation; 260 residents availed of dental check-up; 54 children availed of free circumcision; and 900 children and adults availed of nutritional feeding.
The city Agricultural Productivity Office (APO) also handed a total of 300 packs of assorted vegetable seedlings and 199 fruit seedlings to farmers, while the City Veterinary Office (CVO) registered 100 dogs and vaccinated them against rabies. It also treated 10 animals for external parasite.
The Road and Traffic Administration (RTA) conducted traffic education orientation on the basic traffic rules and regulations of the city and the Oplan Ten-X in eight classrooms and distributed 20 leaflets about traffic education, while 50 children availed of the City Public Library's free books and magazines reading
At the same time, City Mayor Constantino G. Jaraula solemnized the mass wedding of 38 unwed couples who were living together for at least five years. The Local Civil Registry also registered 70 children for late birth registration.
The People to People Program is a regular program of the city government, which provides equal opportunity to people in the barangays to avail of the various services regularly offered by the city government.
Among the city officials who joined Mayor Jaraula in the holding of the PPP in Macabalan are Vice Mayor Vicente Y. Emano, city councilors Dante Pajo, Alfonso Goking, Emmanuel Abejuela, Reyanldo Advincula, Ian Acenas and Jerico Goldmar Ebabacol. (Cagayan de Oro City IO/PIA-MisOrOccCam i-Net) [top]
