Tagalog News: Pagpapa-unlad sa pamumuhay ng mga Pilipino

Manila (21 September) -- Sa layuning mapa-unlad ang pamumuhay ng pamilyang Pilipino, pinangunahan ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo ang paglagda ng kasunduan sa pagitan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at local government units (LGUs) na magbibigay ng conditional cash transfers (CCTs) upang mababa ang bilang ng mahihirap sa bansa.

Pangungunahan ng DSWD at LGU ang implementasyon ng programang Ahon Pamilyang Pilipino (APP) na ilulunsad sa Enero 2009 upang matugunan ang poverty cycle sa pamamagitan ng pamumuhunan sa human capital tulad ng kalusugan, nutrition, at serbisyong pang edukasyon para sa mga mahihirap na kabataan mula 1-14 taong gulang at maging ang kanilang mga magulag lalo na sa mga mahihirap na pamilyang Pilipino.

Ang programang APP ay magbibigay ng cash grant package na P6,000 bawat taon sa bawat pamilya para sa kanilang health check-ups at bakuna, at P3,000 na education grant package sa mga magulang na mayroon tatlong anak. (Abb/PIA 12) [top]
