"Migration, fertility and other topics were discussed and tested the participants knowledge on how updated they are on said issues, Ballitoc said.

With the theme, "Population, environment, and health care reforms", the activity was participated by eight out of the 11 districts here. The popquiz has three categories of questions: easy category with one point each; average category with two points each and the difficult category with 3 points each.

Roy Dimayuga, the Provincial Coordinator of the UNFPA said in his message becoming involved in youth oriented initiatives like this popquiz is one way of mainstreaming youth participation.

This is one way for you to become aware on issues on population, environment, maternal and child care and many others, Dimayuga said as he encouraged all the participants to do their best and make their municipalities become proud of them.

The winners were Frances Jade Abad, a fourth year student of the Ifugao Provincial Science High School who garnered 35 points of 42 items; Marie Claire Naboye and Frenel Dogwe, both from Hingyon National High School, got 33 and 32 points to claim the second and third place respectively after undergoing a tie breaking question.
