TABUK CITY (22 September) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-CAR opens a region wide logo making contest to all interested participants, in line with its campaign to promote the One Town One Product (OTOP) program.
Noryn Bagano of DTI-Kalinga said the logo should bear Cordillera product Seal of Excellence that can stand for all Cordillera products, ensuring quality and standard.
The contest aims to produce an official identity seal for Cordillera products that would be part of the packaging so that it will maintain its Cordillera mark when mixed up with other products in the market.
Bagano said entries must be submitted in two forms, one colored and one monochrome, both to be placed in 1/8 illustration board size, not over 12 inches in length and width.
All entries should include one-page narrative explanation of the logo to be mounted at the back of the illustration board and should not bear any distinguishing mark of the author.
Participants are given design guides on relevance of the material to the OTOP, to have clear identification, eye-catching, ability to convey ownership and purpose.
Participants must accomplish the application form, put in separate sealed envelope and sent together with the entry to Cordillera Product Seal of Excellence - Logo Contest, OTOP - TWG c/o DTI-CAR, Baguio City.
Only one entry is allowed every participant, and that the entry should have not won in similar contests.
Bagano said deadline of submission of entries is Sept. 28. Five finalists shall be selected during the Oct. 5 pre-screening at DTI-CAR. Announcement of winners will highlight the Cordillera Wine and Coffee Congress on Oct 17.
For the contest award, P10,000 cash prize awaits the winner with P2,000 each given to four consolation prizes. (PIA Kalinga) [top]
