CAR-RDC invites bidders for Cordi Investment Promo collaterals

BAGUIO CITY (22 September) -- To aid government executives and trade missions in promoting the Cordillera region as an investment area, the Regional Development Council(RDC) through its Sectoral Committee on Economic Development is undertaking a project for the preparation of regional investment promotion collaterals.

The project dubbed "Preparation of Cordillera Investment Promotion Collaterals" has two components namely development, packaging and printing of a regional investment brochure and enhancement of an existing audio visual presentation in Digital Video Disc(DVD) form, its translation to Chinese mandarin, Spanish and Japanese languages and production.

Interested eligible parties are invited to bid for the project. They may submit their letter of intent, company profile and at least two samples of previous works not later than September 28, 2007 to the Investment Promo Materials Project, RDC_CAR c/o National Economic Development Authority, Botanical Garden, Leonad Wood Road, Baguio City.

Bidding production outfits/consultants should be duly registered and have good track record.

The brochure and AVP will highlight the comparative advantage of the region, investment opportunities and potentials of the six provinces and two cities in CAR.

Faced with the problem of lack of investment promo materials to give away to visiting potential investors and national dignitaries and that materials taken along during investment missions were old and more often promoted a province or a city and never the region as a whole, the RDC in 2003 embarked on the preparation of regional investment materials with the objective of promoting CAR as an investment area in order to increase investments and generate employment.

The promo materials would also bolster the presence of local and regional chief executives during investment missions in the country and abroad.

A technical working group headed by the Department of Trade and Industry and NEDA are involved in the ground works for this project. (PIA) [top]
