NVizcaya PNP forms police retirees' association vs. criminality

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (September 24) -- The Philippine National Police here is in the process of organizing its police retirees in the province to support their anti-criminality campaign.

Sr. Supt. Segundo Duran, police provincial director said the effort is intended to organize the more than 2,000 police retirees in the province and form their organization inorder to help the government in its anti-criminality programs and projects.

"These are retirees that are still receiving pension from the government. So in turn, we are requesting them to be active partners to help us in our campaign against criminality," he said.

He said the retirees are now in the process of planning their activities and programs for the succeeding years.

According to Duran, the retirees can help the PNP in terms of intelligence gathering and setting as an example in the community as good citizens.

"We are encouraging other retirees to join us because this organization will also help them later while they become our volunteer partner in our common quest for a peaceful and orderly Nueva Vizcaya," he said. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
